Femi Ajose is BOG Most Innovative Person of Q2 2025
We are delighted to recognise Femi Ajose, Supervisor, Composite Pipe System (CPS), as BOG’s Most Innovative Person of the Quarter. Femi’s performance throughout the period has been nothing short of commendable. His ability to coordinate effectively with key client representatives from Chevron and ESSO has strengthened BOG’s relationships, demonstrating his value as a true BOG ambassador.
Femi has consistently brought creative solutions and cost-saving ideas to the table. A notable example was during the 12” vent modification project under the fabrication scope. Rather than outsourcing to an engineering company, Femi proposed using an outsourced draftsman to handle the fabrication and as-built drawings. His suggestion saved the company millions of Naira, showcasing not only innovation but also sound judgment and a deep understanding of project and cost management.
He has also shown exceptional ability to adapt to changes and act proactively. During the ERHA shutdown project (SPIE’s scope – corroded bolts replacement), Femi identified that the Purchase Order (PO), initially issued in September last year, would expire before this year’s shutdown. Thanks to his attention to detail, he officially notified the client representatives from SPIE and ESSO, prompting them to begin the process of revising the PO.
Additionally, Femi successfully persuaded the client to expand BOG’s scope for the shutdown, and BOG is now being mobilised offshore for another survey to accommodate this increased scope, demonstrating strong client engagement and foresight.
Femi is widely regarded as a go-to team member across several units, including CPS, Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Development. His support for others and solution-oriented mindset are evident in how he encourages knowledge-sharing and capacity-building. For example, he recently guided Inioluwa from the Major Projects team on using project scheduling tools like Microsoft Project to enhance project planning. He also supports the Finance team in tracking and validating invoices, ensuring alignment with client expectations and internal standards.
Femi Ajose’s resourcefulness, initiative, and collaborative spirit make him a standout professional and a worthy recipient of this recognition.
