Two (2) BOG personnel were involved in the repair of a Sundyne Pump at the Nigerian Liquefied National Gas (NLNG), Bonny Island, Rivers State. Sundyne pumps are used for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) re-injection in the NLNG plant. They transfer LPG into the injection system.
The pump had a drop in oil pressure which led to down time and loss of man hours, impacting extensively on NLNG’s production. With the pump down, gas production at the NLNG was affected. The overhaul lasted 5 days.
The overhaul has since been completed and optimal production has resumed.
