A team of BOG engineers executed an Ultra-Filtration (UF) Rack repair project for Total E&P from August 19 to
August 21 at BOG’s 42,000 square feet GRE fabrication facility in Port Harcourt.
The work scope included the repair of leaking nozzles with 4″ Glass Fibre Re-enforced Epoxy.
Ultrafiltration is a filtration category that uses a membrane, either in the form of a spiral wound element like a reverse osmosis membrane, or a tubular element known as a hollow fiber.
The repair will ensure that the UF is optimized for efficiency. It also led to a reduction in cost that would have happened if there was a complete replacement.
