This year’s International Women’s Day theme, Accelerate Action, calls for bold steps toward gender equality and women’s empowerment. Here at BOG, we did not just celebrate—we took action.
Understanding that health is a crucial part of empowerment, we prioritized an enlightening and interactive breast cancer awareness session for all women within the organization. With breast cancer being one of the most prevalent health challenges affecting women in Nigeria, this session provided a vital opportunity for learning, unlearning, and relearning.

Experts led discussions on early detection, risk factors, preventive measures, and common misconceptions, ensuring that every woman left the session better informed and more empowered to take charge of her health.
The session was not just for the women—our male colleagues also joined in to show their support, demonstrating that advancing women’s health and well-being is a collective effort. Together, we engaged in open conversations, debunked myths, and reinforced the importance of regular screenings and self-checks. The session was interactive and enlightening, with myths debunked and clarity gained.
At BOG, we are committed to taking action, driving change, and creating a workplace where every woman thrives. Because when we invest in women, we accelerate progress for all.
