At Bell Oil and Gas, we often speak about dedication, resilience, and the spirit of teamwork—but few moments in our 23-year journey have captured these values as beautifully as the celebration of our “Five Fingers of BOG.” Established in 2002 and built on a foundation of hard work and passion, we continue to grow because of the people who choose to grow with us. This year, we proudly honoured five exceptional individuals who have committed two full decades of their lives to our shared vision.
These five: James Iheanacho, Gift Osudue, Chike Anyanwu, Felix Obiaka, and Ebi Dike, showed up every single day for twenty years. Not because the past two decades were without challenges, but because they chose resilience over convenience, loyalty over uncertainty, and growth over comfort. Their stories are rooted in consistency, grit, and unwavering belief in the vision of BOG.
From the start of the year, they earned a special name within the organisation: “The Five Fingers of BOG.” The metaphor could not be more fitting. Just as fingers function independently yet work together to strengthen the hand, these five individuals have served in different capacities but collectively strengthened our operations, particularly in our Port Harcourt office, where all five of them are based. Through their collective contribution, they embody unity, strength, and seamless collaboration.
To honour their remarkable milestone, we hosted a heartfelt celebration in their honour; he first of its kind in our history. It was more than an event; it was a moment of gratitude, reflection, and joy. The celebrants were invited to come with their families, acknowledging that behind every long-serving employee is a support system that makes the journey possible. Loved ones joined colleagues and friends to celebrate these 20-year pillars in a warm atmosphere filled with laughter, appreciation, and pride.
The party was an opportunity to pause and acknowledge the sacrifices, the years of showing up, the countless projects delivered, and the silent moments of dedication that often go unnoticed. It was a moment to say, “We see you, we appreciate you, and your legacy is part of the BOG story.”
As we move forward as a company, the example set by James, Gift, Chike, Felix, and Ebi will continue to inspire both old and new members of our team.
