When did you join BOG?
I joined the BOG family on the 9th of July 2009. I was accepted as a Field Service Technician into the now Composite Pipes System (CPS), in the Operations Department.
What do you remember about your first day?
On my first day of resumption, I was taken to the various offices and introduced to other staff members by the admin.
What are some of your fondest memories over the past 15 years?
One of the fondest memories in the last 15 years is the bonding of all BOG staff in both Port Harcourt office and the Lagos office for the annual end-of-year party in Lagos State.
Overall, how would you describe your experience in the last fifteen years?
My experience in the last 15 years has been great.
How has the company contributed to your development in the last 15 years?
The company has improved my leadership, communication and technical skills. It has also developed me in my relationship with both our internal and external customers.
What are your career ambitions and what steps have you taken to accomplish those goals?
My career ambition when I joined was to get familiar with Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) Pipes, and other piping systems like HDPE, PVDF, and GRVE which are different from what I was used to which is steel piping where the joints are made using welding electrodes.
How has the BOG values affected your personal/ private life?
The company values have improved my way of life in planning, coordination and being a team player. It also helped improve my mindset on the ability to produce results despite challenges.
What are your most notable accomplishments over the years?
Some of them include my first training in the application and installation of NOV Bondstrand (GRE) pipes in our Port Harcourt workshop. My first job in Mobil Erha FPSO in the installation of prefabricated 40” GRE pipe which was my first experience in installing that size of pipe. My training in the application and installation of NOV Spoolable pipes in their facilities in Texas.
