This project covers the supply, fabrication, installation and hydrotest of Glassfibre Re-inforced Epoxy pipes (GRE) and Copper – Nickel (CuNi) materials. It is an onshore project whose execution BOG is commited to. Fabrication is currently ongoing at BOG spooling yard while installation will take place at Aveon facility.
BOG procured all the materials needed for the fabrication and will be executing the installation of the GRE and CuNi piping works. The materials procured for this project were delivered in April 2018 and the client visited BOG facility to inspect and certify that all materials procured were fit for purpose.
In preparation to commence fabrication, representatives of Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN) and Aveon Offshore visited BOG facility in June 2018 to carry out a project kick off meeting. They were satisfied with the quality and quantity of materials procured for the project and cleared BOG to commence work.
Fabrication commenced on 11th June 2018 at the BOG Spooling Yard in Port Harcourt. The project team carried out an initial safety induction before they commenced fabrication.
The project, which is currently ongoing, is expected to last for 52 days. Fabrication at the BOG Spooling Yard will last for 30 days while installation and hydrotesting will be done for 22 days at the client’s facility in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
