The management team had a retreat session to review BOG’s strategic positioning and direction for the next five years. The 2017 management retreat and strategy review was held on 27-28 February 2017 at the Colonades Hotels Ikoyi, Lagos. The retreat covered;

The management retreat and strategy review was facilitated by Mr. Ted Theodore of Ischus Consulting. Ted is currently the lead partner for ISCHUS, a Management Consultancy. He worked with Shell for two decades in diverse HR and business roles. He was the pioneer HR Director for Shell’s Offshore business in Nigeria and spent a third of his career working at the Shell International Head Office in Netherlands, supporting Shell businesses in 5 continents.

The retreat session started with an overall purpose message by Kayode Thomas, our CEO.

There was then an assessment of nodes of quality of external relationships across the organization. We concluded that our relationships must have depth and quality. The need to have relationship maps in BOG was stressed.

Ted presented the output of the leadership assessment survey that was done on BOG by Centre for Creative Leadership. Some of the output form input into the amended strategic objective four.

To work out solutions on way forward, the management team was divided into smaller teams to frame the desired change, propose solution, implementation strategy and related score card. Each team was mandated to work on one of the BOG strategic objectives.
