BOG has officially kicked off the design phase of its multi-million-dollar facility after acquiring 15,000 sqm of land at the Lekki Free Zone in Lagos. BOG settled for the Lekki Free Zone after detailed due diligence and evaluation of several other locations in the country.
The state-of-the-art facility scheduled for commissioning in the 3rd quarter of 2020 will have a Pipe threading plant that will cater for a wide range of OCTG from 2” to 5-1/2” and also from 7” to 13-3/8”. The facility will also include a valve machining, assembly, testing, inspection, and painting plant that will cater for Gate, Globe and Check valves as well as Ball valves up to 24”.
A new composite pipe fabrication yard will also be an integral part of the facility. Project “Evolution” is a landmark capital project for BOG that will further reinforce the company’s position as a leading indigenous oil services company focused on local capacity development.
