The Managing Director of Arco Maintenance and Engineering Limited (AMEL), Mr. Jan Baan, visited BOG facility in Port Harcourt in January 2017. AMEL is a part of the Arco Group specialising in the maintenance and engineering of rotating and reciprocating equipment (including turbo machinery) and electrical power solutions. It also offers local partnerships to companies in the upstream sector of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
During the meeting, he met with a team of BOG representatives that included the Rotating Equipment Manager, Pastor Yinka Adetuberu; Operations Manager, Mr. Obinna Odum, Assistant Rotating Equipment Manager, Victor Adeniyi; and Senior Field Service Engineer – Rotating Equipment, Fola Aderibigbe.
They had a brainstorming session on how to manage the operation and maintenance of OML 30 Project. OML 30 comprises flow stations and sub-stations. Arco and BOG are to collaborate on the maintenance of these flow stations and sub-stations by providing manpower supply and logistics for the smooth operation of the project.
In addition, they deliberated on aspects of turbo machinery that BOG intends to collaborate with AMEL on, such as gas turbines, steam turbines and compressors. The two companies will collaborate on other upcoming mechanical and engineering opportunities in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.
