The CWC in partnership with Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and Bayelsa State Government organized the 5th edition of the Practical Nigerian Content Forum with the theme ‘Consolidating Nigerian Content through Domiciliation of Industry Activities’ in Yenegoa from the 22nd – 23rd October 2015. The forum reviewed the Nigeria Content gains since the act was signed into law, challenges so far and the NCDMB’s medium term plans for capacity building. The event was well attended by industry dignitaries, players and the government of Bayelsa State.
Kayode Thomas, our MD/CEO was one of the distinguished speakers at the event. He was accompanied to the event by Business Development Manager (Port Harcourt) – Amaka Usman. He contributed significantly to panel and round table discussions. The objectives of the discussions included reviewing the Nigerian content achievements attained to date, exploring the priorities for compliance in the new business environment as well as making recommendations to the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF) to further develop policies that will ensure plans are put in place to secure Nigerian Content successes for the next 3 – 5 years.
The forum provided opportunities for networking with delegates from NCDMB, IOCs, indigenous E&P companies, EPCs and Oil Servicing Companies.

Kayode Thomas was also interviewed by various media groups, providing a platform to further promote BOG as a contributor to Nigerian Content. Kayode Thomas used the opportunity to highlight our recent spooling yard commissioning and also threw light on BOG’s plans for capacity building.
