Three BOG MPFMs Rigged up For Simulation
In collaboration with Expro, an international oilfield service company that surveys and manages oil and gas wells, BOG recently completed its third well testing campaign for ExxonMobil.
The BOG-Expro team was mobilized to conduct cleanup and well parameters monitoring on Asasa BB350NE/30A well on Exxon Mobil Asasa field, offshore Nigeria on the Borr Gerd drilling rig.
BOG and Expro’s first-ever well testing campaign for ExxonMobil was on Abang 5A offshore location for a drill stem test (DST) well-testing operation in 2014. The duo was awarded another 3-year Well Testing contract in July 2019.
The first phase of the contract kicked off on December 27, 2019. The scope of work included Maximum Efficiency Ratio (MER) well testing using BOG’s Haimo Multiphase Flowmeter (MPFM) and the cleanup of Asasa 19B Producer well on Asasa field, offshore Nigeria on the Borr Gerd drilling rig. The recently concluded second phase kicked off on the 1st of April 2020. Expro supplied the well control equipment while BOG provided the advanced multiphase flow measurement technology for the well parameters monitoring during the clean-up operations.
Temperature and pressure transducers were connected to the MPFM digital acquisition system (DAQ) for real-time monitoring of the well during the clean-up.
The Asasa 30A cleanup was completed and the well was monitored with zero lost time injury (LTI)
