Bell Oil and Gas (BOG) has almost completed its Pipe Threading, Machining and Valve Assembly plants at Lekki Free Zone. The project, tagged “Evolution”, is a reference to the transformational phase BOG is about to enter.
The state-of-the-art facility consists of an ultra-modern pipe threading plant that will cater for up to 50,000 metric tons (MT) of pipes per year which will provide an effective seal for pipes transporting liquids, gases, steam, and hydraulic fluid in well operations.
There is also a valve assembly facility, dedicated to delivering reliable, and timely support for clients’ valves assets, from installation and commissioning, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting the repair of damaged or deteriorating valves.
A new composite pipe fabrication workshop that will provide comprehensive solutions for Glassfibre-Reinforced Epoxy (GRE), Glassfibre-Reinforced Polyester (GRP) and Glassfibre-Reinforced Vinyl Ester (GRVE) pipe systems has also been integrated into the facility.
The facility scheduled for commissioning in the 4th quarter of 2021, will create more jobs and increase the technical capabilities of Nigerians. It will also minimize the country’s dependence on massive importation of threaded pipes that will usher in tremendous economic benefits.
