Members of our Composite Pipe Systems team carried out the fabrication of 6″ GRE pipe coarse filter spools at the GRE Fabrication Facility for EGINA FPSO operated by Total E&P.
The Egina FPSO is the largest ever built by Total. The FPSO is connected to 44 subsea wells 1,600
meters deep and will produce 200,000 barrels of oil per day.
This 8-day project kicked off on August 31st and ended on September 9th.
The fabrication commenced after all materials used were verified and validated by the client’s quality assurance representative. The representative also inspected the entire fabrication process and hydro test activities.
