Ingersoll Rand (BOG’s technical partner for air compressor) aftermarket Manager for North French and West Africa (NFWA), Thomann Philippe, was in our Port Harcourt office for the repair of Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor at Glass Force Limited in Aba, Abia State and training of BOG personnel on latest innovations in Ingersoll Rand Air Compressors. Glass Force Limited is the most advanced bottle manufacturing plant in Nigeria.
This repair was used as a medium for the on-the-job training for BOG Rotating Equipment Field Service Engineers. A classroom training was also conducted. Three Rotating Equipment personnel were involved in the on-the-job training / actual repair of Sundyne compressor at the plant of Glass Force in Aba, while six engineers were involved in the classroom training.
In the course of the repair, BOG Rotating Equipment Field Engineers were trained. The training focused on hands-on disassembling and assembling of parts; hands-on in carrying out 16,000 hours maintenance with kitting of different valves and theoretical appreciation of dryer.
With this visit, repair and training of Rotating Equipment Field Service Engineers, additional expertise in the troubleshooting, disassembling and assembling of M90 Ingersoll Rand compressor have been acquired. This has put our rotating equipment engineers in a better position to satisfy our clients by proffering critical solutions that will aid the operations of the clients.
