Recently, BOG delivered 40-inch Circor ball valves to the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Port Harcourt. This is the largest valve BOG has delivered to date.

Following the delivery of the two 40-inch Ball Valves in February 2018, the valves were recently moved to site for installation.

Circor Energy is a market-leading, global provider of integrated flow control solutions, specializing in highly engineered valves and pipeline products and services. The valves were manufactured in the company’s plant located in Nerviano, north-west Milan, Italy. Circor Energy continuously develops highly engineered valve and pipeline products that improve the ability to control the flow of oil and gas and other natural resources – from subsea to land, and in severe environments.

A valve is a device that regulates, directs or controls the flow of a fluid (gases, liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by opening, closing, or partially obstructing passageways. Hence, the importance of having high-quality valves, such as those supplied by BOG, cannot be overemphasized. SPDC uses valves to regulate and control the flow of gases and other liquids in its daily operations.
