October, Rotating Equipment Field Service Engineers carried out the completion of the repair of a Sundyne pump at the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Company, Bonny Island, Rivers State. Two (2) BOG personnel were involved in the repair works.

The pump is used for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) re-injection in the NLNG plant. It transfers LPG into the injection system. NLNG would have had downtime on production of liquified natural gas since it (NLNG) did not have unit two on standby to optimize production.

With this repair, the NLNG now has a set of two pumps for full capacity production. It is expected that there should be no down time, even if one pump goes down.
