On this project, BOG has partnered with Prime Atlantic Cegelec (PACE) to deliver Glassfibre Re-inforced Epoxy (GRE) repair works to USAN Floating, Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) platform – an ExxonMobil facility.
The Usan FPSO is located about 60 miles south off the coast of Nigeria in the Gulf of Guinea. Usan began producing in February 2012 and is expected to reach a peak production of approximately 180,000 barrels per day.
The project started with a site visit and continued with purchase of materials. The items have been procured and delivered to PACE. Our personnel have mobilized to site for the execution phase.
This repair ensures that operations on USAN FPSO can go back to normal, since the damaged Fire Water Line has been repaired and function-tested by our personnel. In the event of a fire outbreak on the platform, the fire water line will supply water to repel the fire.
