In October 2016, Supply Chain Manager of BOG, Mrs. Yem Gbeja, met with the team at Gerab at their Jebel-Ali Free Trade zone office in Dubai on a Supplier verification/audit. This followed the visit by Gerab to BOG on referral to solicit for business. In attendance were Gerab’s CEO, Venkata Subrarmanian; Senior Vice President International Projects, Munir Ansari; Sales Manager, Anupam Ohja and Sales Engineer, Aaqib Waqar.
Founded in 1977, Gerab National Enterprises LLC has been in the steel piping application business supplying Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, Stud Bolts, Valves, Gaskets, and other Bulk Materials world-wide for Projects and day-to-day requirements for over 35 years. Gerab today is one of the top stockists and bulk supplier of seamless and welded pipes in the Middle East, with stocking area of 250,000 m2 in the UAE and KSA.
Gerab’s core business is project package supplies, with effective product management ensuring timely execution. Its well-staffed regional and international offices are located in Saudi Arabia (Dammam), Oman (Muscat), Qatar (Doha), the UAE (Abu Dhabi and Dubai), Kuwait (Fahaheel), India (Hyderabad), Iraq (Basra), USA (Houston), China (Suzhou) and South Korea (Seoul). In total, Gerab employs about 380 staff across all locations, serving 45 countries worldwide. They have relationships with reputable Chinese and European mills and can source for stocks from any approved mill.
A tour of Gerab’s offices and large warehouse revealed that Gerab indeed operates on the advanced ERP packages available, creating a reliable and efficient platform for transaction, analysis, planning, continuous improvement and expansion. Gerab has a large stock of inventory of up to 70,000 Ton of carbon steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, OCTG (casings & tubing), flanges, fittings, valves etc. in the Middle East that meets its strategic capability to supply customers worldwide at a short notice.
Apart from procurement, project and supply chain management, Gerab also has a subsidiary company (Flexigistic) that offers shipping and logistics services.
