BOG continues to provide support to the Nigerian oil and gas sector in ensuring optimal performance on different platforms.

Members of the BOG Rotating Equipment Team embarked on a 4000hours maintenance service for 4 compressors as well as a power plant operation and maintenance training for Azura team members.

The Azura plant is a 461MW Open Cycle Gas Turbine power station near Benin City in Edo State, Nigeria. It is Phase 1 of a 1,500MW IPP facility located on a 100-hectare site.

The project kicked off with the 4000 hours maintenance service for 4, R-series Ingersoll Rand compressors famous for smart, energy-efficient controls that ensure a better & safer work environment.

The compressed air is a critical energy source in turbomachinery and by extension power generation. The maintenance of these compressors will ensure the steady supply of instrument air for various operations that will improve client productivity.

The next phase was a 3-day power plant operation and maintenance training for the PIC team. The 3-man  BOG team was led by Yinka Adetuberu, the senior Rotating Equipment Manager. The BOG Team tutored the Azura team on the Ingersoll Rand daily maintenance plan.

They also gave insight on compressor selection and plant sizing.
