BOG continues to support oil exploration and production companies to help them optimize production.

As part of this, BOG recently supported Neconde Energy Limited to test the company’s wells located in Odidi and Batan fields, both swamp locations in OML 42.

OML 42 is an oil production asset and it is 45 per cent owned by Neconde, who acquired the asset a few years ago in a joint venture partnership with the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

BOG mobilized equipment and personnel to the swamp locations in preparation for well testing activities. The essence of the job is to ascertain the Maximum Efficiency Rate (MER) of all the wells in Odidi and Batan fields.

This campaign provided BOG another opportunity to showcase its Multiphase Flow Metering (MPFM) technology and its efficacy as a measurement tool in exploration and production operations.

At the end of the tests, reports were spooled and sent to the client. The whole exercise lasted about 3 months with a bigger prospect of moving to other field locations still within OML 42.
